Editorial Standards & AI Use

Here is how Seanomos Mobile picks what to write about, verifies the facts, works with AI tools and handles corrections when we get something wrong.

Types of content

  • How-To & Fixes: solutions to problems people actually face, prepared and verified on devices available to us.
  • Buying guides: recommendations for a price range or a purpose, showing when the prices were last checked.
  • Comparisons: two products side by side, with a clear answer on which one fits which buyer.
  • Explainers: tech terms and specs broken down in simple English.
  • Reviews: written only after we have used the product ourselves, which is why there are not many of them.

The label under each title

Right below the headline, every article shows a single label that tells you how much first-hand work went into it:

  • Research-based · not tested: put together from official specs, prices and other published material. Nobody on our side has used the product.
  • Specs comparison · not tested: official specifications laid out next to each other.
  • Tested on our own device: the steps and screenshots were taken on devices we personally used.
  • In-store hands-on: a brief try of the product at our shop. This is not a full review.
  • Hands-on · used X days: the product served as our everyday device for the stated number of days, and we mention how we got the unit.

Phrases like “we tested” or “in our testing” appear only when testing really took place.

Where our facts come from

Specs are verified on the official India website of each brand. For service steps, we follow the official page of the carrier, the brand or the government department whenever such a page exists. Every price carries the date it was checked. Rumours and launch dates that have not been confirmed are never presented as fact.

Our use of AI tools

AI tools assist us with research, early drafts and fact-checking. Nothing goes live until each fact, figure and price has been confirmed with official sources and Lokesh has gone through the article, adding what we have learned at the shop. Our own screenshots or photos are added wherever we have them. Recommendations are always a human decision, and AI is not allowed to make up specs, prices or test results. AI-generated pictures are never used in place of product photos, and any illustration made with AI says so clearly. At the end of every article you will find a brief “How we made this” note.

Photos and screenshots

Whenever we can, we use pictures and screenshots we took ourselves. A brand’s press images appear only alongside that brand’s own product, with credit given. Images copied from other websites are not used.

Staying independent

No brand can pay to appear in our guides or to move up a list, and brands do not get to read articles before they go live. If we ever run sponsored content, a “Sponsored” label will sit at the top. The owner of Seanomos Mobile also runs Mobivault, a phone shop in Bhopal that stocks some of the products we cover. Our picks are not based on that, and the articles where it is relevant point it out.

Keeping articles current and fixing errors

Buying guides and other price-led articles are looked at again on a regular basis, and we revise them when prices shift or our picks change. The “Updated” date moves only after a real change to the content, together with a note describing it. Spotted an error? Let us know via the contact form. Once we confirm a mistake, we fix it quickly and mark the correction on the article.
